Bikepacking provides an opportunity to cycle in wild, remote areas carrying a minimal amount of equipment in a streamlined fashion. Bikepacking combines the beauty of backpacking and the speed of cycle touring in a mostly car-free environment.
Spend 6 days bike packing in Big Sky Country along the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route (GDMBR). Our Women's Intro to Bikepacking will help the beginner to jump into an awesome backcountry adventure with like minded women. Using pre-tour videos and Q&A Zoom sessions the rider will learn how to select a bike and gear as well as how-to's on food selection, cooking and navigation. On tour, we will put our learning to the test as we navigate single and double track as well as some rural paved roads along a Montana section of the GDMBR.
You can expect to be well-prepared for your first bikepacking trip through detailed pre-trip instruction and on-the-road, real-life experiences so that you can have the confidence and know-how to head out on your on bikepacking adventures. You will be accompanied by two GDMBR experienced riders to guide and teach you along the way.
