On this 9-day, easy riding, 330-mile adventure we will discover the blissful riding from the outskirts of Kansas City, Missouri to Gateway Arch National Park in St. Louis, Missouri. We will cycle across the “show-me” state of Missouri along the Rock Island Trail (known as the Rock Island spur of the KATY trail) and the well-known KATY Trail. Heading north from Windsor, the trailhead for the Rock Island trail, we ride along a slight upward grade to the Missouri River where we will parallel the river for the remainder of our journey to St. Louis.
During our cycling route we will visit the towns of Kansas City, Windsor, Sedalia, Booneville, Jefferson City (the state capital), Washington, Hermann, St. Charles and St. Louis.
