This 7-Day tour encompass the 326-mile Ohio to Erie Trail. Beginning in Cleveland, OH we'll ride the trail southbound along a route that is 85% trails in this mostly car-free route. We'll cycle through the major towns of Cleveland, Columbus, and Cincinnati, visit the canal towns, and glide through luscious farmlands and Amish communities. Several mileage options are available depending on your cycling and sightseeing needs.
Whether you are a new or veteran cyclist, this region and tour is ideal for you. Our fully supported tour will provide a one-of-a kind bicycle adventure and access to all the best parts of Ohio. If you are driving to the tour, we'll make sure you return to Cleveland at trips end. Rentals available.
The Ohio to Erie Trail System is known for its flatter terrain, but it does have some climbing involved. Daily mileages range from 35 – 58 miles, with shorter options available. Bike rentals are available. Temperatures in the area range from the low 50’s in the evening to the upper 70’s to upper 80's during the day. Discover small-town midwestern hospitality.

Meet your group in the morning at our startpoint meetup hotel near the Cleveland International airport to load up and shuttle to the Ohio to Erie Trail trailhead outside downtown Cleveland. After a short orientation and group photo, we will head south along the trail through an urban environment on the way to our first overnight in Akron. Half of our day will be riding through the beautiful Cuyahoga Valley National Park. The day ends in Akron, OH; the old "rubber capital of the world", the home town of "King James" Labron (NBA superstar) and home of the hamburger. Lunch and dinner included.
Arrive early in Cleveland to take in some of the sites offered by the city such as the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, the house from the film A Christmas Story, a MLB Guardians game, or the West Side Market.

As we head south, we’ll continue on the Ohio to Erie Canal towpath through the Summit Lake Nature Center and the historic Canal Fulton on the Tuscarawas River. We will pass thru the town of Massillon, OH as we we make our way to the the small town of Apple Creek in Ohio's Amish country. We will load up and transfer to Wooster, OH, home of Ohio University, for the evening. All meals included.

We'll continue to cycle through the heart Ohio's Amish country today as we pass through the Amish towns of Fredericksburg, Holmesville, and Millersburg in our way to Mount Vernon. We'll probably encounter the famous Amish buggies in the towns alongside the many bikes and vehicles that linger through the towns. We'll see the longest covered bridge in Ohio, Bridge of Dreams, a 370-foot covered bridge originally built in the 1920s for the railroad. We'll include a stop by Miller's Creamery and Hipp Station, an old train station noted as the most famous stop along the trail. Our destination, Mount Vernon, has beautiful parks and comfortable restaurants and is a vibrant hub of activity in the region. The Woodward Opera House is the oldest-standing, authentic 19th-century theater in the USA. All meals included.

Terrain: Rolling hills, major road
We will be making our way to Columbus, OH today along the Heart of Ohio and the Alum Creek Trails. Ohio's Amish country will receed in our rearview mirrors as we navigate into the capital city of Ohio, the fastest growing city in Ohio filled with great cafes, coffeeshops, expertly designed outdoor areas along the Scioto river. You will an opportunity to explore the city on foot. All meals included.

Terrain: Flat terrain along smooth paved trails
We'll leave Ohio's Capitol today as we cycle the Lower Scioto Greenway, Camp Chase Trail, Little Miami Scenic Trail on our way to Xenia. We will explore some of the rich farmland of the state as we cycle through open fields and small midwestern towns. All meals included.

Terrain: Flat or descending trail.
We begin our day after breakfast as we take on the Little Miami Scenic trail south along the Little Miami River. We'll pass through the small communities of Kings Mills, Loveland, and Miamiville. All meals included.
Miles: 18 miles · Elevation: +378’ / -439’
Terrain: Flat decending terrian to Ohio River
After breakfast, we will complete the Ohio to Erie Trail as we ride into Cincinnati along the Little Miami Scenic Trail, Luken Airport Trail, and Ohio River trail through Theodore M. Berry International Friendship Park and Turkey Ridge Park. We'll dip our back tires in the Ohio River in Smale Park; congratulating each other on a great week of cycling. If you drove to the startpoint location in Cleveland, OH, or just want to return to Cleveland, we will hop in our van and return you to Cleveland, OH. Breakfast included.
Stay longer in Cincinnati to discover some of the sights and sounds of the Cincinnati such as the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center, William Taft or Harriet Beecher Stowe House, Cincinnati Museum, or the many outdoor markets.
