March offers ideal cycling conditions: mild daytime temperatures, cool mornings, long daylight hours, and generally clear skies. Occasional desert rains can trigger bursts of wildflowers, and riders may witness a “super bloom”, painting the valley in vibrant colors.
The adventure begins at Rhyolite Ghost Town after a shuttle from Las Vegas, with a thrilling descent into the heart of the valley. Over five days, cyclists explore iconic landscapes: Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes, Badwater Basin, Artist Drive, Ubehebe Crater, and Panamint Springs. The trip includes self-guided hikes along the Mosaic Canyon and Artist's Palette trails, and the tour concludes with a shuttle to Dante’s View, offering sweeping panoramic vistas of the valley below.

Arrive on your own into Las Vagas, Nevada and meet your guide team at the start point hotel by 9AM ready to ride. The tour begins with a morning shuttle from Las Vegas Airport to the historic Rhyolite Ghost Town, where riders will have a quick lunch and start their adventure. From Rhyolite, cyclists tackle Daylight Pass before descending into the heart of Death Valley, arriving at Stovepipe Wells Village. Along the way, the dramatic desert landscape unfolds with wide-open valleys and rugged mountains. In the evening, riders visit the iconic Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes to explore and photograph the dunes during sunset, then settle in for dinner and overnight at Stovepipe Wells. After a short shuttle to Furnace Creek and an exploration of the Visitor Center, pedal across the flat, otherworldly Badwater Basin, the lowest point in North America, with salt crusts stretching to the horizon. Continue along Artist Drive, where vibrant hills display pinks, oranges, and greens, a natural masterpiece shaped over millennia. The ride is a combination of flat valley stretches and gentle climbs, offering both challenge and breathtaking views. Cycle to Zabriskie Point, one of the park’s most photographed viewpoints. Here, the sun illuminates the badlands in warm tones, creating a perfect farewell to the northern loop. Enjoy a shuttle back to Stovepipe Wells, reflecting on the iconic landscapes of Death Valley. This afternoon adventure offers a tactile connection with the desert’s natural artistry. The evening is free for relaxation and reflection on the week’s journey, with dinner at Stovepipe Wells. On the final morning, shuttle to Dante’s View, perched high above the valley floor at 5,476 feet. Hike along the ridge, taking in panoramic vistas from Badwater Basin to Telescope Peak, and savor the grandeur of the park one last time. This is a fully supported tour with indoor hotel accommodations, meals in local establishments, on-route SAG, luggage transportation. The weather will be warm and the scenery spectacular. We will traverse smooth pavement on 4 famous rails-to-trails as well as hard packed dirt ideal for cycling, with only minor gains in elevation. Daily mileages range from 29-50 miles. Bike rentals are available. Temperatures will range from the 50s at night to the mid to upper 80s during the day, with a high chance of clear sunny skies.
